    Drive Configurations

The NICHELINE valve is available in the three actuation configurations described below.

    1. Manual Actuation

Manual actuation is achieved via a stainless steel handwheel fitted onto the threaded stem. Rotation of the handwheel transmits motion to the stem, which lifts the plug towards the inside of the tank, ensuring a progressive and controlled opening.

Applications: This version is suitable for applications where a pneumatic supply is neither available nor required.

    Options
    • Valve control limit switches*
    • Positioner with dual limit switches and without limit switches*
    • Single/dual temperature probe*

    *ATEX version available on request

    2. Pneumatic Actuation

The normally closed (NC) version of the valve is operated by a linear pneumatic actuator with a multi-spring diaphragm. In the absence of compressed air, the springs return the plug to the closed position (fail-safe NC).

    Technical Specifications

    • Mechanical travel indicator
    • Integrated body compliant with standard CEI EN 60534-6-1 for the standardised mounting of pneumatic and electrical accessories
    • Mechanically adjustable start and end points
    • Actuator made entirely of stainless steel

    Options

    • Conversion to ATEX version by replacing only the actuator (the body is pre-equipped)
    • Positioner with dual limit switches*
    • Pilot solenoid valve*
    • Single/dual temperature probe*

    *ATEX version available on request

    3. Pneumatic Actuation with Emergency Handwheel

This version differs from the pneumatic version in that it features a top-mounted emergency handwheel integrated into the actuator, which allows the valve to be operated manually in the event of a loss of pneumatic power or a control system malfunction, without having to dismantle the actuator.

Compliance: The bonnet complies with (CEI EN 60534-6-1).

Applications: Recommended version where operational continuity is required even in emergency situations or during maintenance of the pneumatic system.

    Options

    • Conversion to ATEX version by replacing the actuator only (the body is pre-equipped)
    • Positioner with dual limit switches*
    • Pilot solenoid valve*
    • Single/dual temperature probe*

    *ATEX version available on request
